Therapy For Military Families

Therapist Specializing In Military Experiences

Our clinician, NaTasha Thorne is a military veteran and prides herself in offering a unique perspective to offer support to veterans and their families.

Does the military provide therapy?

The military knows that everyone needs help at times and offers a variety of support options to service members and their families. However, many individuals and families prefer to use a therapist outside of their traditional insurance in an effort to have an added layer of privacy of their mental health information. We respect your right to privacy and can support you, if this is your case.

Does Anxiety or Depression Disqualify Me From the Military?

Mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, psychoses, and other unspecified depressive issues are disqualifying if you are treated for it on an inpatient setting or if you are treated for the condition for longer than 6 consecutive months, according to The Balance Careers.com. We encourage you to speak with your therapist about your specific situation in detail in your initial assessment. Either way, we are here to support you and help you reach your goals - all while respective your privacy.

Trauma Therapy for Veterans

Our clinicians are equipped to provide cutting-edge therapeutic treatment to address and resolve the impact of traumatic events you may experience. It is our goal to help you resolve the harmful impact on your day to day life caused by trauma. Speak with your therapist in detail about your goals for therapy as it relates to resolving your trauma responses.

Do I Have To Talk About My Traumatic Experience In Detail?

No, we do not require that you recall in detail your traumatic experience to help you work through and resolve it. The amazing thing about trauma therapy is we can hep you work with the current triggers, nightmares, interactions, and/or thought processes that are impacting you. We can support you in working through trauma without re-traumatizing you. We strive to provide excellence in our level of care and look forward to helping you heal.
