Burnokwer (Ms. Bee) is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a Master's Degree in Social Work. She is under the clinical supervision of an LCSW-S as she builds her clinical expertise. Her passion is working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with self-esteem, depression/anxiety, relationship issues, and body image struggles.
Prior to becoming a social worker, Burnokwer worked in criminal justice with some of Houston’s most sensitive populations, adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness who re-entered society after incarceration. She acquired a depth and array of experiences that has cultivated her passion for helping individuals reach their highest self.
Ms. Bee believes everyone has the ability to change their circumstances for the better. She takes pride in helping you build a toolbox with multiple options for healthy coping. Her professional practice includes cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
